What Makes HVLP Work Length: 1 hour Intended Audience: Body Shop painters and managers
What: This program is a summation of the Spray Technique, Analysis and Research (S.T.A.R.) project undertaken by the University of Northern Iowa with grants from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Small Business Administration (SBA). Their charge was to uncover methods that auto body painters could use to increase their spray transfer efficiency and reduce their emissions. The actual applied research program takes a full day and includes hands-on spraying of two sets of identical parts, one before training and one after. This summation identifies the most relevant tactics and variables shop painters can adopt to increase their production and reduce their consumption.Back to Program List |
